Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding the personal information CPPC holds about you, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct any inaccurate personal information;
- Request deletion of your personal information in certain circumstances (for example, where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, or where you object to certain processing such as marketing communications); and
- Request that your data be transferred to another service provider, where applicable.
You may exercise these rights at any time by contacting us at info@cppc.org. We do not charge a fee to honor these requests, except where a request is manifestly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request, and we aim to respond within one month.
Basis for processing. CPPC processes personal information where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating the coalition, responding to inquiries, and advancing our advocacy mission, provided this does not override your individual rights and interests. Where we rely on your consent — for example, to send email updates or newsletters — you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Data retention. We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, including any applicable legal, advocacy-record, or reporting requirements.
Complaints. If you believe your data protection rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in your jurisdiction. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly first — please contact us at the details above.
